Are you passionate about Pilates and ready to take your journey to the next level? Whether you're dreaming of becoming a certified Pilates instructor or simply want to deepen your practice, our Level 1: Mat + Reformer Teacher Training program is the perfect starting point!

With registration closing on 9/15, now’s the time to secure your spot and start transforming your career, body, and mindset. Not sure if this is right for you? Let’s dive into the most frequently asked questions to help you decide.

1. Who is the Level 1 program for?

Our Level 1: Mat + Reformer Teacher Training is designed for everyone, whether you're completely new to Pilates, a fitness enthusiast looking to broaden your skills, or a wellness professional ready to add Pilates to your toolkit. This program provides the foundation you need to start a rewarding career as a Pilates instructor.

2. Do I need prior experience to join?

Good news—no previous Pilates experience is necessary! However, we recommend taking at least ten classes or private sessions at a PCI-affiliated studio before the training begins. This will give you a feel for our teaching style and the Pilates philosophy we embody. Our program is built for all experience levels and starts from the fundamentals, ensuring you have a strong base from day one.

3. What will I learn?

You’ll receive comprehensive instruction in both mat and reformer Pilates. Our curriculum covers the core Pilates principles, detailed anatomy lessons, effective teaching techniques, and how to design classes for students of all fitness levels. By the end of the program, you’ll not only master the essential exercises but also develop the confidence to lead effective Pilates sessions.

4. What does the training schedule look like?

Our training consists of two parts:

  • Lecture Modules: Five key modules spread over 3–4 months.

  • Practical Hours: In addition to the modules, you’ll complete practice teaching, observation, and self-practice to refine your skills.

While the timeline varies for each student, most finish their certification within 6–12 months. With the flexibility of online modules and hands-on workshops, you can work at a pace that suits your schedule.

5. What kind of certification will I receive?

Upon completing the Level 1: Mat + Reformer Teacher Training, you’ll earn a PCI Education Teaching Certification, recognized by Pilates studios and fitness centers globally. This certification qualifies you to teach both mat and reformer classes, as well as private sessions. While this is a solid foundation, we encourage students to pursue our Level 2: Advanced Apparatus training to meet the industry-standard 500-hour certification, which will further expand your career opportunities. However, Level 1 is the essential first step on your journey!
